Ashland School Board meeting.

The Ashland School Board held a special meeting on August 15. The half hour meeting was mostly devoted to a non-public session on litigation and personnel. According to the minutes, the board discussed the legal issues around the sale of the old elementary school building to Tri County Community Action Program. TCCAP wishes to restore and renovate the building to serve as a home for Headstart and other community service programs. Whether the social service agency has complied with the terms of the purchase and sales agreement has been disputed by the two parties. At the August 15 meeting, the board voted to extend the purchase and sales agreement until December 1 "for the purpose of settling the impasse relating to the purchaser's compliance with Part 10(a) of the agreement." The board members also discussed scheduling a meeting with TCCAP.
